The shoot
The festival turns the medieval town of Koprivnica into a stage of knights, artisans and fire performers. We set out to capture the rhythm of fire against the dark setting.
The craft
We shot at 100 frames per second for slow motion, on a fast f/2.8 zoom, handheld, with no light but the fire and the torches. The grade keeps warm tones, deep blacks and golden highlights.
